Malaysia at 49 and Going Where? ...(1)

Quote from TheStar "The Malays have to stop the hulur (handout) culture if they want their community to be one that is excellent and respectable, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. "

How many times have we heard that before? Or maybe I should say how many years already have we been hearing the same thing? Malaysia currently stand at 49 and going 50, still the preferential treatment given based on race still exist. Are we really truly progressing or are we still going in circles?

The question is, why is it still there? Why isn't it abolished?
The answer is so simple. Who would want to give up your special treatment? It is just the human greed, pure and simple. The special right was agreed in exchange for citizenship by the immigrants from other countries. There was no Malaysia back then. But today, after 49 years of independence of Malaysia, anyone who was born here is called a Malaysian, not some other name. The scale has already been tipped.

admitting the problem is the first step to solving the problem, taking action against the problem solves the problem.

Quote again from TheStar, "“We in Umno cannot just shout the words Hidup Melayu or Hidup Umno to become strong as they are only slogans."” Try telling that to the person who raise the "Keris" during a meeting.

Forever depending will not gain you independence but cripple you to dependence.
